HEAD LYT V10 2021

$699.99

New Head LYT V10 skis (available in 163 and 170cm) with Tyrolia PR 11 bindings.

Graphene reinforcing layer replaces fiberglass material weighing 300 grams more per ski. Graphene is said to be the strongest material on the planet, and 300 times stronger than steel. The result is a ski with a lighter, livelier feel, thinner profile and better performance. All this with no loss of stability and edge hold. Light weight is done right at Head!
ERA 3.0 Design – A design philosophy incorporating Allride Tip Rocker, Progressive Radius Sidecut, and Intellirise Rebound
Allride Rocker – Rocker in the front 20% of the ski and camber through the rest. This means you get the increased off trail performance, better float and easier turn initiation of rocker, but camber under foot maintains power and edge hold.
Intellirise Rebound – Head has taken their trademark piezoelectric device that has powered the Intelligence system inside their skis for many years, and moved it into the front part of the ski. Its stability enhancing and vibration “quieting” properties to eliminate the “tip flap”, or “rocker rattle” that happens in rockered skis. The difference is dramatic!
Karuba Wood Core construction – combines the super lightweight laminated wood core from the Kore series to give the ski power and a smooth, damp ride. ABS sidewalls absorb shock and help keep edge in contact with the snow for a smooth, powerful feel. The partial cap top sheet offers nice rebound from turn to turn, and also makes the top sheet very resistant to chipping along the edges.

Soft entry heel is very easy to step into. In a difficult situation, after a yard sale, it is nice to have a binding that does not add to the frustration by making re-entry into the system difficult. This is the easiest performance binding on today’s market to step into.
Multipe Boot Sole (MBS) compatible means this binding will work with traditional Alpine boot soles (which you probably already own) as well as the the Grip Walk boot soles just being introduced into the market. And it will even work with an AT boot. There is no other binding we know of that fits more different boots sole than Tyrolia MBS models. No matter what Alpine ski boot you own now, or in the future, it will be possible to use it with this binding.
Extra wide, mechanical, sliding AFD under the boot offers a super slippery interface with the boot soles toe. There is no Teflon piece to wear out, and require replacement over time, saving you money and hassle on service. And, this AFD is very wide, and offers outstanding leverage out the edge of this high performance ski.
Full Diagonal toe offers additional protection in backward twisting falls. SEE PICTURES ABOVE.
DIN range is 3 to 11 making it suitable for virtually every adult skier with a DIN setting of 4 or higher.
