Fischer Motive 78 Skis The Motive 78 is a versatile all mountain ski for intermediate to casual advanced skier. Based around a 78mm waist the Motive 78 is very responsive edge to edge and has right amount of width to offer the float and performance needed to ski well off piste. This balance of on and off trail performance starts with a traditional sandwich sidewall construction to setup a foundation of strong edge hold and and a stable predictable feel coupled with Dynamic Grip Control, three internal reinforcements in the tip and tail, for instant turn initiation and continuous edge grip. To provide the liveliness and energetic feel the Motive 78 relies on a full wood core with Air Carbon, an ultralight and stiff material, to help control the pop with good vibration damping and a Carbon Tech weave to beef up the edge hold and balance out the total flex of the ski. To give the Motive 78 more versatility All Mountain Rocker, a slight rise in the tip with camber, is employed to make for easier turn initiation in all conditions and to allow the tip to stay on top of soft snow and crud for better performance in bad snow conditions and off trail. So the Motive 78 has the construction to grip at speed, the pop and liveliness make big sweeping turns or tight fall line turns with ease, and the shape to do it all in any terrain. Capped off with the Powerrail Binding System which provides additional leverage for improved response and control the Motive 78 is a nimble and powerful all mountain ski.
