Ideal for intermediate-advanced skiers, the HEAD V-Shape LYT ski features a Graphene reinforcing layer instead of traditional fiberglass. Graphene is said to be one of the strongest materials on the planet. The use Graphene results in a lighter ski with a livelier feel, thinner profile, and better overall control and performance. This is all achieved without any loss of stability and edge hold. Light weight is done right at HEAD!
Additional Features:
ERA 3.0 Design – A design philosophy incorporating Allride Tip Rocker, Progressive Radius Sidecut, and Intellirise Rebound Allride Rocker – Rocker in the front 20% of the ski and camber through the rest. This results in increased off-trail performance, better float and easier turn initiation of rocker – All while the camber under foot maintains power and edge hold.
Intellirise Rebound – Head has taken their trademark piezoelectric device that has powered the Intelligence system inside their skis for many years, and moved it into the front part of the ski. This has resulted in enhanced stability and vibration “quieting” properties that eliminate the “tip flap”, or “rocker rattle” that happens while riding rockered skis. The difference is dramatic!
Lastly, the V-Shape LYT features a “Karuba Wood Core” construction that’s utilized throughout HEAD’s “Kore” series. The V-Shape LYT also features ABS sidewalls which absorb shock and help keep edge contact. The partial cap top sheet also offers nice rebound from turn to turn in addition to making it resistant to chipping.
